Hi,

I have to disagree with you. EntreCard did not boost my readers or my sales. In the 10 days of not having EntreCard, my bounce rate went fro 91% to 60%. average time per visitor has climbed from 30 seconds to over 1.5 minutes, the number of searches has quadripuled, and the prices of my advertising climbed.

EntreCard may work well for some, but it didn't for me. My return on investment was less then 50%. I spent 2 to 4 fours every night dropping 300 cards and reading every blog I visited. For me that's time that could have been better spent.

Your post is spot on! I have enjoyed a lot of traffic from Entrecard and contrary to popular belief, it has helped my blog in numerous ways!

My traffic has increased, which in turn has helped my Alexa rank rocket from 2 million to just over 500,000. The ranking for my site is gradually getting better and I am convinced that Entrecard is the main reason for this.

I get regular comments from a few 'Entrecarders' and my number of subscribers has rocketed also.

I now get more organic clicks from Google because of the constant flow of traffic from Entrecard.

The pricing doesn't bother me whatsoever as I joined Entrecard to be part of a community of fellow bloggers.

I put a lot of hard work into Entrecard and I try to comment on all of the blogs that I visit. However, I don't comment when I don't find the blog useful, interesting or if I can't contribute to the post.

To reduce high bounce rate ,firstly we should do simple survey to ask what actually our readers want.In fact we can find a loyalty readers from Entrecard as long as we provide a good info and this info can help to solve their problem. What i do now is try to know bloggers that i drop to their website-We will build up some rapport then we will exchange link and ideas. This will be better than we just drop EC and run.

Thanks for the post. I have been regulating my card dropping so that the cost of advertising on my site does not jump higher than I think it is worth. There seems to be a balance somewhere and obviously a few entrecarders need to chill with the card dropping to make sure the cost to advertise on their site is really worth it.

Everything is gradual.

Great post. Moving my EC to the bottom of my blog is a bad move. I never advertise on those blogs, but changing the URL from the main page to a post page is definitely worth a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is a very good post, written in plain English which make it easily understood by non-native English readers like me. In general, your blog posts are easily understood because of the kind of English you use. Good on you!

Well spoken. I have given some thought as to why other blogs are seemingly so much more popular, but you're right in that it's more to do with other factors and not just what you think of your blog. It's very easy to dismiss the idea of being wrong and blame things on others, but some times, it does all point back to numero uno.

Good post!

Rocky:

This is a great post. I don't get a lot of drop on my blog, so my price is lowering. However, I do get some new readers from entrecard, which has the same interests.

Great to see you making good progress.
