Reddit - I haven’t experienced much traffic from Reddit but a lot of bloggers have reported increase in their traffic as soon as their post reached the front page.

A lot of good information here. The problem with this, as with any type of social site, is having the time to do it and to do it right.
Perhaps you’d like to produce some tutorials on how to do it correctly on each one? I’d be reading that.

Hey I enjoyed this article and agree that huge traffic spikes are possible for frontpage stories. What is your advice for getting a story to the front page? It seems like only a few select people have the power to get their stories consistently to the frontpage.

While we may expect some increase in traffic when posting to social bookmarking sites, many use them for getting some link juice. But not all these social sites do follow their links.
