Also, @ the argument that Wordpress has better spam filtering- Blogger has Capcatcha. What more could you honestly need? It's simple, effective, and proven to work. No need to add twelve numbers or type a paragraph to verify that you're a human.

Honestly, I don't know why so many people think Categories are great. If you're smart enough with your tags on Blogger, there's no need for Categories. They're basically the same thing.

Then there's the argument that Wordpress has a lot more plugins. Yeah? Well a lot of them are useless. There are also many Blogger versions of Wordpress plugins, with the exception of Comment Luv.

People say there are "so many more" themes for Wordpress than Blogger. Ever done a google search? You'll find thousands.

There's also complaints about the XXX.blogspot.com URL. Get your own domain and you can very easily redirect. They've even got the feature built in for you. PostSecret, one of the most visited sites on the internet, does it successfully.

I've used the Wordpress text editor and I have to say that it's clumsy and cumbersome. It eats my formatting randomly and is very static.

Honestly, I think using Wordpress is just wasting a lot of your time on technical stuff you don't need. Blogger has it simplified and does it much better. You shouldn't be wasting your time on coding and getting plugins- you should be writing good content, which is what really matters.

I wrote a post about this a couple of weeks ago from the perspective of niche marketing blogs. My conclusion was the Blogger was a great, no/low cost way to create niche market blogs but it lacked features for those who wanted something more than just the basics.
