<description>Indeed Adam.. ads are really compelling whatever the forms it comes from :P
The element of "curiosity" is what ads are there for, ads create that sense in people ;)

<description>These are fantastic ideas. I think a lot of what applies for a 'brick and mortar' small business trying to get increased customer traffic easily translates over.

Recently in my area there were small ads on the radio that essentialy said "Don't click on " and that's it. Sure enough, after I heard it a few times I went to the site just out of curiosity. Another local guy rented a billboard in town and plastered his website on it. While I couldn't tell you what kind of ROI these people had, they definitely got me to visit.

<description>It's easy to forget about the importance and value of "offline" methods when promoting your blog or other online ventures. All successful enterprises whether "brick and mortar" or "online based" require getting people to take notice. If you're truly passionate and serious about making money, I would look to the methods listed in the article above as a great starting point.

<description>Rocky this is a good explanation about offline advertising/promotion.
I just want to add that offline advertising is very dependent on your environment. If you live in a place where people are not keen to read blogs or websites, promotion in this space might be futile.

But if you live in an environment where people are keen to websites, online stuffs and blogs, then you should definetly capitalize on this great opportunity. This technique, I believe, is being widely used by Darren, but specially by Jeremy and Chow who live in a definetly internet savvy place and they are making the most out of it..
If you observe the two guys, you will see how much offline promotion they do too and which is very successful.

I think being good at blogging and being successful is 2 different things. Being successful online does not mean that guy is great at writing or conveying ideas..
