As someone in the "make money online" sector. I completely follow what you are saying.

I believe that there are many similarities in the methods we all use for content planning. The Keyword Research Tools, Feeds we subscribe to, etc , can lead to similar ideas. I believe to Read, Compare, Filter and Compose can be a great method.

Kudos for the post.

As some fancy philosopher once said, "there is new under the sun." I suppose this rings true with some blogs - especially those in the Make Money Online niche - but there are a few that still have unique twists, especially parodies/humor blogs.

I'm unique, I'm not a scraper! :D Just kidding.

Anyway, you got a good point in pointing out that although I create my own post, the idea can always be found somewhere.

I'm not unique after all.. sigh...

But it's better semi-unique than scraping other bloggers post, isn't it?

Cheers!

Writing new posts can be a challenge on a blog thats been around for awhile. It helps to grab the latest magazines to spur your fogged brain into a untapped creative post:-)

I think this is really for the niche of blogging tips and make money online. Most of the tips you can think of have already been written by somebody else that all you can do is add your personal experience in it to make it look like new. hehe

In the politics / economy niche, there is plenty of juicy info published by the government & private analysts that doesn't get picked up by the mainstream media. Something new can be truly unique & go viral for a ton of hits. Unfortunately the keywords don't deliver results any more after a few months or weeks because everyone (readers and writers) are chasing the next new story..

I think that there is great potential to address similar issues using what you discuss, but I agree with Stephan that It's not what you say, it is the way that you say it". My preference is a humorous or pithy take and I usually know where to find that.

The voice you use and the points you emphasize could be one way. There are many novelists. If Tom Robbins and Ernest Hemingway wrote a novel on the same story, each would be read by different people. Both might be read by the same people. Both would be worthwhile to read. The fans of Robbins would say his is the best. The fans of Hemingway would say his is the best. Everyone is different and like people who think like they do.
