Blogging without some networking can be quite a lonely job. When all your work revolves around staying at home, in your PJ’s and writing, it can lead to quite boring days. In my case, it doesn’t help that my friends generally have no clue about making money online or blogging, two of the subjects I could talk about all day long.
The solution for me was networking with other bloggers. Derek, Matt, Daniel, Mihnea, have all been great to talk to. My real life friends are also much happier, now that I’ve stopped trying to teach them SEO, blog promotion techniques or how to monetize the blog they have no intention on starting.
If you want a blogging friend to talk about SEO, promotion, blogging, making money online, feel free to add me on Yahoo Messenger or MSN.
My id: muahdib_bt[at]yahoo.com (replace [at] with @)
However, if all you want is to ask how to make money online, how to set up a blog or other basic stuff, don’t bother adding me. Don’t want to come off as a jerk, but there are a ton of articles on the web explaining every single aspect of making money online. As a beginner I’ve googled my ass off, read dozens of articles every day, digged down the archives on the Digital Point forums, read ProBlogger from start to end. Asking someone to tell you over IM all that information proves to be a huge time sink in my experience and I can’t afford that.
So, add me to IM, but only if you want to network or having some good stories voted on social media sites from time to time. I’m the wrong person to add if all you want is information.

Alex, just wanted to add my thanks for the mention as well. It is great to network with other bloggers and have a chat every now and then. Like you mentioned, most of my friends and family are not interested in blogging so it is always nice to have some people to chat with.

Hi Steven, thanks for the comment! And yeah, it’s been great having someone to talk to and it also gave me some extra motivation to write.
