Latest news say that Microsoft just offered $44.6 billion for Yahoo!, at $31 per share, 62% more then the stock price. Very interesting to see if this goes through (a price that is hard to refuse) and what kind of giant will emerge as rival to Google from this.

Star Wars SEO Link Building from Digerati Marketing

darkseo Digerati Marketing wrote a cool linkbait (yes, I’m falling for it and it’s so worth it), called Star Wars SEO, Link Building For Padawans. Great and funny post, definitely worth reading.

While you’re there, check out his other posts. He might be a bit on the darker side of the fence, but it’s one of my favorite blogs in this niche. Doesn’t write too often, but when he does you can learn a few things from him.

Weekly Shark Bytes

shark It’s been a while since I’ve done the Weekly Shark Bytes, mainly because I keep forgetting to bookmark all the good articles that I read, and they’re not that easy to find among the ~240 feeds I got in my reader.

From DoshDosh, The Blogger’s Guide To Team Marketing, as always a great read, and an idea that I’ve been thinking about for some time now, though he takes it to the next level by planning to build a marketing network for bloggers.

Patrick from BlogStorm has a very interesting article on Studying Spider Crawl Rate To Find Your Most Trusted Pages.

If you want to get into domaining or need some ideas for domain names, Mark from 45n5.com has a very nice tip on finding domains with keywords in them that get type in traffic.

Weekly Shark Bytes 16/09

And the Weekly Shark Bytes are back again, on Sunday, as usual, but a bit shorter this time.

Rhys has a very nice article on tracking your new RSS subscribers, How To Track New RSS Subscribers With Google Analytics in 3 Easy Steps.

A new addition to my feed reader, Derek Beau has a few great articles, like the one on bulk blogging and his 3 part case study on a blog like that: Building a profitable niche blog with minimal effort, Initial Steps and Promotion goals. With the article on bulk blogging he also reveals that he makes $3000/month with this method, from 23 low maintenance blogs, so its worth a read.

Matt goes linkbaiting again with Top 5 Blogging Success Stories.
