As you may know, the PR update is in progress right now. Some may wait for it impatiently, others might not be hoping that much because they neglected the link building efforts. Either way, you should do even more link building in the next few months. Increase your PR and you rank higher in the SERPS and you can also sell links.
For the next few days I’ll be doing a series with tips on getting links from high PR pages or websites, and even how to get some .EDU links.
Translate plugins and themes. This is the tip for today. If you check the PageRank of download pages for popular plugins and themes you might see that they have high PR because a lot of blogs link to them. Some of them have translated versions, with a link to the blogger that took time to make it available in other languages.
Of course, translating plugins and themes works best if you actually know another language besides english.
Do I actually know how to translate a plugin or theme? Nope. It’s one of the link building ideas that I didn’t use yet. I plan to learn how to do it soon, and hopefully also write a tutorial here.
If you don’t know a programmer to teach you how to do it, check out the resource on Translating Wordpress (I hope it helps).
The tip from Day 2 of the Boost Your PR series is Guest Post At The End Of The Month.

Funny, that tip about higher PR boosting SERPs. Actually, PR algorithm is only part of the SERPs algorithm. There are many other factors.
I know TechZilo. Over 100 factors taken into consideration as far as I can remember, and one of them is the PR. I should’ve been clearer about what I meant. My apologies.
I’m top 3 for a keyword with another website, and it’s a PR2 while all others are PR4-6. PR doesn’t mean much without good SEO. Still, high PR = good authority = ranking easier for more long tail keywords (if you also do some SEO work on the website).
Thanks for the comment.

This is what google wants you to think, but IMO it’s a myth. There are only a couple that count, and PR is one of them.
