I’ve heard of link building through ebooks but that’s all I ever heard and there was no break down of how exactly it works.

The actual e-book was placed higher than my site. So having spent a year trying to unravel page optimisation traffic analysis and just about everything else it seems placing a pdf document was the best thing I`ve done. Having said all that, I think its because an ebook is`nt formatted the same as a web page, without the tables, breaks coding and so on, that the search engines just read the text. With this it makes sense to write with your keywords in mind plus your url address and publish your book anywhere you can. I go into depth about my own findings in the book.
