So what else can be done to get Google to crawl your website faster and more frequently? Here are the rest of the blogging tips you can implement to ensure that Google crawls your website.

1. Submit your posts to ’DOFOLLOW’  Social Bookmarking Website.

Google crawls the web by following links from one website to another but in this case, Google gives priority over websites with higher Google page rank.  A good way to get Google to crawl your website is to earn links from sites with high Google page rank. The good news is, there are several social bookmarking websites with page rank as high as 9, that implement ‘DOFOLLOW’ in their links. Here are some of the ’DoFollow’ social bookmarking websites.

For more ‘DoFollow’ Social Bookmarking websites, check out the list compiled by Stephan over at StephanMiller.com. Recently, I made a compilation of the largest list of social bookmarking websites where you can submit your post for extra publicity and additional traffic. Check the list and start submitting your best posts. Just don’t spam their system or it will back fire.

2. Get yourself a reliable web host.

Google’s crawling rate can be negatively affected by a slow server. It is therefore useful that you avail of the services of a reliable web host provider with fast servers. Fast servers are ‘Google robot friendly’ as it facilitates crawling faster and easier. This will help you win Google’s favor.

3. Make ‘Pinging’ a habit every after new content is added to your blog.

Ping your site every time you have made a new post on your blog. This helps your site become more visible to spiders and makes your site faster to index. Pinging does not only inform Google robots that you have added new contents but it also lets other websites know that you have updated your site. Moreover, pinging also has the potential to bring more visitors to your blog.

pinging, pingoat, pinging services, ping

Here are the most common websites used by bloggers to ping everytime they update.

Take note that you don’t need to use all of the above pinging sites. Simply choose one and stick to it. Using all of them will only result to spamming and might result to getting your website banned.

Most of blog softwares, like Wordpress, has the ability to ping on their own. In this case, you don’t need to ping everytime you add a new content on your blog as your platform does it automatically for you.
