Next time you meet a real shylock, go to him and ask “Do you have goals?”. Now, in the event he doesn’t start beating you up, he will answer that he does. We all do.

How many times did you see someone without goals, actually being successful and being promoted at work? It’s in the human nature to strive for more, and goals help us stay on track.

If you want to set goals, don’t settle for chump change. Making money online is hard for most people, and small goals don’t usually motivate us. Making $10/day is not the kind of goal that will keep you working your ass off for 1-2 months until you reach it.

Pick at least a $100/day goal, set a longer period, make a wallpaper with that number and start working.

Or, instead of picking a random number, put down on paper what you would need to live well and pay for whatever dreams you have.

Here is the way I did my goal, to give you an example:

  • Rent: $300/month (I don’t live in the US)
  • Food: $300/month
  • Other stuff (beer, coffee, clothes and so on): $500
  • Travel 3-4 days each month to cities like Paris, Venice: $1000

As you can see, pretty basic, living ok and having money to travel. Just make it high enough to keep yourself motivated, and for me traveling to a different foreign city each month for couple of days is the best motivator.

Once you reach you goal, don’t stop. You got to $100/day, go to $1000/day. Never stop having goals, never make the mistake of not keeping yourself motivated.
