I’m using the feedburner version to deliver the email updates (its in the left bar above) in the “Keep in Touch” section.

I like the stats it provides and the way it delivers the emails

I’ve found the email subscriptions plugin to be a really good for people getting people to come back – how come you don’t have it on here?

I would have to nominate the top/recent comments plugin by Scott Rielly for a list of this nature. Its’ really helped my site since I installed it. And I haven’t even gotten around to configuring it properly yet.

But great list nonetheless. I’ve been looking for a working similar posts plugin for a while.

Hey Eric,

Glad you found it helpful. What’s great about Wordpress is that its very easy to install the widgets once you’re all set up.

Another one I love is the top posts plugin (at the top left of this page).
It automatically shows your most popular posts, which leads a lot of people to your best content

This is a great post, installing wordpress can be daunting task for someone with only basic html skills. Especially if you never did FTP. I did find a hosting service that does an auto install and this was very useful. Thanks for posting these widgets, this too is very important as it necessary to find useful ones.
