This is our specialty. From what I see day in and day out, most visitors to our site are looking for something that doesn’t exist: easy money. The advice I usually give to first time work at home job seekers always includes the mindset to treat working at home like working a regular 9-5 job.

Let me Just Ask my Easy Money Genie

Sadly, WhyDoWork.com cannot create a job out of thin air for you. You need an updated resume, you need skills that are in demand, you need great interview skills, and you need drive. We can help you work on all of those, and point you to thousands of work at home jobs, but we can’t give you something that will be filling your bank account in the next five minutes. You need to put the work in.

Of our 40,000 members, about 80% fall into the Internet marketing/business space, and the other 20% freelancers and those with traditional jobs in a telecommuting environment. Unless you have experience running a business online, the latter is usually easier for most. Out of that 80%, there’s probably 10% that are really making a decent living. What we’re left with is 10% successful Internet marketers, 20% freelancers and telecommuters, and 70% chasing dreams of making easy money online.

Free Work at Home Job Search

Our work at home job search is updated daily with thousands of new home based freelance and telecommuting positions. As I mentioned in a previous post, we let any website owner use our job search engine widget on their site or blogger blog for free.

We’ve extended the program and offered a premium version of this widget to sites with more than 50,000 pageviews per month. Again free to use, but this time with more features:

If you own a site and think you qualify, send us an email with the subject “WhyDoWork Premium Partner” and we’ll get you set up with a customized job search tool you can use on your site, like the one above.

Know Your Limits

As I mentioned above, we can help you with figuring out your skill set, resume, what kind of job you’d like to do, and we’ve even taken the hassle out of searching for home based work. Our work at home jobs and employers forum is also available to ask questions to the community 24×7.

Knowing your limits is important when looking for a work at home job. It can be easy to become distracted by fancy cars, tropical islands, and screen-shots of full bank accounts promised by many ‘make money online’ programs. Know your limits: Are you a seasoned webmaster and salesperson? If no, then it’s not likely you’ll find success with this route.

Take a look at your skills and interests, and then start your quest to make money online. For 90% of people visiting this site, I think your answer lies in part time, freelance telecommuting work. Telecommuting jobs are on the rise, and freelancers are in more demand now than ever due to cutbacks for many companies in full time positions. Any questions? Just ask and we’re glad to help! :)
