FireFox is by far my favorite browser. As with the popular iPhone, it is the ‘app store’ that makes it great. FireFox can be customized to suit your needs in an almost limitless amount of ways with a vast collection of add-ons.
I put together a collection on the site today of the add-ons I recommend, and the add-ons I personally use and install on all the computers I own. From monitoring competitors traffic, to improving the search experience, to diagnosing slow page load times, it’s all here in one easy to grab package. This collection absolutely improves my effectiveness online and makes my days more productive.

Excellent..I to have firefox as my favorite. It is so much better then IE
FireFox is kickass! SInce I changed over to FF from IE 4 – 5 years ago I haven’t had the security issues that came (seemingly pre-installed) with IE. From a security perspective alone FF is KIng, and once you start factoring in all the plugins and addons that are available to customize FF< htere is just no competition (from either IE or Chrome!)
Thank you so much. I use Foxfire but I had no idea you could do so much more with it.
Hi Whydowork,
Firefox is my favorite too. But, such a small post, which cannot give any urge to want it to readers ain’t the most effective post for your blog indeed. I am sure that few changes can provide much more beneficial results.
Chris, bashing the post length is unnecessary. It is up to the blog owner how short of how long they want to make posts. They are not writing this blog for your sole benefit. Personally I like short posts better. In this post it looks like they have provided a very beneficial package of firefox addons. This should be helpful for all of us. So don’t ignorantly bash this post.
Heheheheh! Mr Aluminium cases, you just have to forgive Chris Peterson for being a touch pedantic. He also blogs and I see his point, but truth be told, good information was given out, even though this was just a small post!
Yeah, pretty short post, but it pack a punch.
I really enjoy FF add-ons. FireBug is my favorite, thanks for introducing me to FireShot and CyberSearch.
Yes, the Firefox Plugins are what makes Firefox so interesting! That is what in my opinion makes Firefox to a superior browser to Chrome or Internet Explorer.
cheers,
Tom
I definitely agree about firefox being far superior to IE & Google Chrome. Since I first installed it years back I haven’t looked back.
Definitely a cool idea. I did have almost all of the plugins installed already though.

Firefox rips all over IE! Thanks for the collection.
That’s cool thanks sharing your add on…
David
Firefox is far better, I think most people have made the switch from IE by now. Thanks for this collection, appreciate it.
I went and had a look at your recommended list, and lo and behold the WhyDoWork AdSense Monitor is on the list…
For good reason too! I would ad SEOQuake to this list, myself though!
Thanks for sharing the addon. I’ve installed some of them on my FireFox browser, I’ve been using FireFox for quite a long time and I love the features very much!
Thanks for the heads up, will definitely be giving firefox ago.
I am a huge fan of Firefox, I have most of the Addons on your list =D if anything I would say Firebug on your list is one of the most vital addons you can have as a webmaster! =D
Till then,
Jean
Firefox is also me favorite web browser. I love all the addons that you can install to expand firefox’s abilities. I already have a bunch of addons installed, but I will check out your toolbox to see how those other addons can help me.
Great list. I love some of the add ons offered by Firefox.
I recently started using firefox but I like it a lot. I have most addons you mention. There are some I am missing. I will give them a try as well.
I have to delete my windows and install a new one. So how is the best way to save my Mazolla Firefox add-ons so when the new MS Windows is install I don’t have to go and install the add-ons one by one again.
just go to c:\program files\mozilla firefox\plugins and copy the whole plugins directory..save it burn it do something so you have a copy of it..thats what i do..
I think you just answered your own question, that’s funny… lol.
Till then,
Jean
I’ve installed several add-ons on my Firefox, but every time I start it it says I have to restart Firefox to finish the installation. I’ve tried resetting, turning off my computer, all sorts of things, and it still doesn’t work.
the first thing i would make sure that the add-ons are compatable with the version of ff that your using .. you normally can tell when you look them up…
I am using Chrome and Firefox for 90% of time and very little on IE. I love firefox for addons… I can just simply add as many as i want. I already have many plugins to do the similar work but nothing as a package all together. Let me try this one.
I also use firefox, all of those plugins and addons make this web browser the best – in my opinion. I tried chrome, explorer, opera and flock, but still firefox is my favorite.
Thanks for sharing this great toolset. I have used the Google toolbar and Firebug for a long time. I like the whydowork adsense monitor and Fireshot. Great additions.
