I was browsing a paid review site and thought this was funny. Does anyone really think Google is going to publish a paid review on their official Inside AdSense blog? ReviewMe.com clearly has some quality control issues
On that line of thought, maybe the paid review industry has come and gone? The more I browsed the site more funky links and out of date information I found. Paid links are a tremendous problem for search engines. Paid reviews, (which often include paid links) are an even bigger problem. I know Google et al. have been doing their best to try and squash these kinds of networks, maybe it’s finally working?

Haha lol, looks like Google has to penelize themself for doing paid reviews.
I’m pretty sure this information isn’t right, i mean NOT even close.
Nice post.
That’s funny =D I’ve seen websites that will intentionally review others and call it paid reviews to try and hurt the competition.
Till then,
Jean
@ Used Tires – That is quite a statement you’re making there! Do you have any discreet examples we can take a peek at? Surely anybody who is working their own blog will pick up this kind of behaviour rather quickly, especiually from their competition?
I wouldn’t be too surprised if this was actually real. It is not unlike Google to make one rule for the public and then have different rules for themselves. For example, they tend to penalize sites that have too many affiliate links, meanwhile lots of Google AdSense units is no problem.
@Aluminum Cases, I wouldn’t say “lots” of adsense units, there are limits on the number of adsense limits so… yeah the value is definitely high because of that.
Till then,
Jean
Well Google has rules to limit the number of adsense units on a page. I’m just saying that Google favors a website who makes their money from adsense over affiliated based websites.
@AC, I see where you are coming from now, that makes sense.

Your point is well taken, Aluminium Cases. Nobody likes competition, and if you are the chief of police at the same time, decisions will be taken to dirtectly benefit your vested interests…..
I would not be surprised if they did.. Aluminum I would have to agree… they set a standard for their customers which they do not adhere to themselves.. these companies are about making money by any means possible.
So funny.. $250 for a paid review in adsense blog. Crazy???
If it’s true, then I’ll definitely grab the offer and write about that immediately! lol!
If it’s real, I believe that many people will kick off Google. Let’s see…
These are outdated offerings. If you pay your $250 however, what are the chances of actually getting a refund? it seems like there is a big scam component involved here too!
Absolutely, if we pay them and most probably we couldn’t be able to refund if it’s really a scam (I know it’s). $250 is really too low for Google to review our blog, $250 is definitely nothing for them, not even enough to buy snack for their staffs. lol!
Google sure doesn’t come cheap, and that is a fact! Imagine what a sponsored review from them could command in the marketplace. It will be much more than $250, without a doubt!
Its all not looking like an authentic stuff. In the area of paid reviews, there has been a lot of nonsensical & nonprofitable stuff going on. Beware guys!
This doesn’t look right at all. Is this really true? Google needs to penalize itself
Sounds dodgy to me.
That’s great to see, if it’s real then Google got to penalize themselves for doing paid post. What a joke..lol!
Anyway, it’s interesting, thanks for sharing!

Lee
Yeah I doubt it is legit. Google is all about making money, but I don’t think they would stoop this low. $250 is nothing to Google.
Well this is undoubtedly a spam… because Google is in present scenario is a self contained site and they won’t have to anything like this.
But nevertheless this news is really a eye-catcher.
I agree that it is probably is spam. It really makes the paid review site look bad to have an ad like this.
I can not believe this one….there is not way. Can anyone verify this one…or it all just a joke/spam?
