Getting Paid to write articles and content has been a hot niche the past year for those interested in making money at home. Thisisby.us is a website where you can make money not only by writing content, but also through an affiliate program and simply commenting on posts. In order to make the most from Thisisby.us, you should therefore try using a combination of these methods and promote your articles as much as possible. In this post, I’ll give you a few tips on how you can best accomplish this.
Start by Writing Great Posts
In order to make the most money with Thisisby.us, you should start by writing posts that many people will comment on and enjoy. Sounds pretty easy, but keep in mind you’re competing with every other author out there also trying to write content that will generate comments and views. The more people that like your articles, comment on them, and vote for them, the more money you will make. Look at what Thisisby.us users are already voting on and what they like, and then consider your topic inline with your findings.
Promote Your Articles
Once you have posted articles on Thisisby.us the next step should be to promote them as much as possible to increase your chances of being voted for and commented on. I’m not going to go into tips on how here, but if you want some free promotional help, ask here and you’ll get some great advice from a lot of different IM’s. You could also use tried and trusted methods such as Stumbleupon, Reddit, Digg and other social networking websites.
Comment on Other People’s Posts
10% of Thisisby.us revenue goes to people who comment on and vote for the posts of others. Although this may not be a lot compared to the 50% going to those who write the content, it is still a great way to increase the amount of money you make from Thisisby.us. Each time you go on to post your own articles, take some time to read a few others and comment on or vote for them.
Join Their Affiliate Program
If you have your own website then you can also make more money by joining their affiliate program. If people sign up under you at Thisisby.us you will earn 5% of whatever their posts earn, so encourage friends to join and then find ways to encourage your downline to keep writing.
Thisisby.us Important Terms and Mumbo-Jumbo
As you can see, they offer quite a few different methods of earning money from their site. The only concern in my eyes is if they have enough authors pushing traffic to the site to encourage revenue growth. Nevertheless, it’s worth a try and a viable way to earn money online. If you’re seriously interested in this opportunity, take a look at some important information I’ve extracted from their TOS (when and how you will be paid):
Periodically, we will distribute a portion of our advertising revenue to qualifying users. We will assess our revenue for a particular period of time, and assign approximately 50% of that revenue among users who have submitted qualifying posts. The percentage of revenue credited to each user’s account will be determined by the goodness of each of the user’s posts. Goodness is a function of the number of views, votes, and lames a post receives, as well as the age of the post. At the end of each month, we will assess the amount credited to each account. If, at that time, your account has a credit of $25 or more, we will contact you for the information necessary to pay your account. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your legal name and current address. We cannot pay you without this information. If a user fails to provide this information within 12 months of accruing $25, the amount in their account becomes forfeit and vests in us. Only active user accounts are eligible to receive payments. If a user does not log in to his or her account for 6 months, the amount in their account becomes forfeit and vests in us. Any time an account is paid or becomes forfeit, the balance returns to $0.00. Payment will be made in U.S. dollars in the form of a personal check.
Let me know if you have any experience with this, I’d love to know if anyone is making any money through this site.

I have seen other writing sites that share advertising revenue. But they are usually for articles, tips and how to guides as opposed to “arty” genre writing. So this one looks quite unique.
Will be interesting to see how it fares. I wish it well.
