Certainly a milestone to be proud of, our community has grown to 20,000 registered members since we started out in the summer of 2004!! Since those early days we have altered the services we provide, the way we provide them, and even gone through a few site and logo designs before we found the right one.
Over the past two and a half years we have seen our average daily subscribers grow from 1 to almost 50 per day. Our members are a major reason why we’ve seen such steady growth. The high calibre discussions and friendly atmosphere of the forums continues to attract both new and veteran home based employees.
The single greatest contributing factor to success on any site is user feedback. Many sites welcome your feedback, but not all act on it! I can tell you that every idea we receive is passed around, analyzed, and heavily discussed. WhyDoWork is truly a site that is shaped by the members and we encourage you to let us know what you think whenever possible. If you think you have an idea for how to make the site better, a new product you think we’d be interested in promoting, or an idea you’d like to get out there let us know - you will be rewarded.
Once again thanks for being here!
I saw that someone had wanted a prize for being to first to recognize we hit 20,000
Unfortunately there’s no prizes now, but look for some great giveaways when we hit 25,000! Our thinking was that 20,000 is great, but if we celebrate now then 25,000 won’t seem as special!
Just for fun here’s a meaningless Alexa graph from the past year. You can see a huge drop at the beginning of 2006 - That was around the time 12dailypro exploded and we lost our rankings for that term. Looking at the graph we’re slowly increasing linearly and almost at the same rank without any major search engine rankings. I cant wait to see what things are like at the end of 2007!
Take care!

Thanks for the kind words Floyd!
The great thing about a community site like this one is that it’s the members that make it work. Our little “mini-society” of those looking to work at home give their time and share past experiences which are of unmeasurable importance when there are so many scams out there.
