I think the operative word is "business". A home based business is not a way to goof off. If, however, you love what you're doing then it's the best of all possible worlds. Your income is under your own control. And you don't have to waste time on useless politics.

Working form home takes time, time is the most valuable thing you have to put in.. When I first started out in this field I was impatient and believe all the lies with getting rich over night. I was a sad sad somebody who gave up entirely. Until I realized that in order to make it online you have to advertise and a lot of it... I started working for this company online 6years ago and they taught me everything I know and if you are here as a member of this forum you are in the right place...take it to the next level....

The cool thing about it is that if you make a decision about what you are going to do and then stick with it, you can be successful. It has been easy for me to move from one thing to the next in the past. It is better to persevere at one thing until you make it work.

At least that is how it has been working for me. Most things have a learning curve. You have to stick with them long enough to learn! Don't I know!

Building and running a home based business is a great way to earn a living but there are pitfalls.

Unlike working for someone else, it is up to you to take the lead and keep your prospects rolling in. It no good just getting a few paying customers and then just wait for the money to roll in. Over time, those prospects will leave if you don't keep offering them something new. You need to keep adding new content.

It is like reading the same book again and again. Eventually you will get bored and look for something better.

Keep an eye on what your competition is doing. Ask yourself "Is there anyway i can do something similar to what they are doing to increase sales?"

Learn new skills so that you are better qualified to do something different with your web site. Have a look at similar web sites to yours and see what they are doing differently. This is a great way to get new ideas.

Remember, it is your business and it is up to you to make sure that it keeps pulling in new customers.

First important thing when researching a company, that you read the company plan. I am so amazed that people just sign up before, they even understand how they are going to make money.

People believe for some reason that a home based business means less work. Actually, the opposite is true. If you want to have something to call your own, you should spend MORE time on it - and have patience.

Success doesn't happen overnight, but if you plan, work on it and have perseverance, it will happen. Many people give up too quick. Consistence and a good attitude will pay off!

I agree completely. The irony is that a lot people online look down on MLM and network marketing. Instead, they focus on pursuing affiliate businesses as the best way to make money. Sure, you can make with affiliate programs but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so because of competition, especially if you don't know a lot about Internet marketing.

Unlike affiliate programs, network marketing provides residual income opportunities. Do a piece of work today and you get paid for it several months or years thereafter. There is no better way to build wealth than through a residual income program.

I am not sure I entirely agree with you here, there is competition in anything worthwhile, MLM, affiliate etc. One of the reasons why there is such a low opinion of MLM is because a number of MLM companies are more focused on the MLM aspect as oppose to actual products and services. In reality, all legitimate businesses offer value through products and services to clients, irrespective of a referral system.

I agree with these. Before I start joining a certain earning online program, I first research all about it through other earning online blogs. They are the most reliable sources for that kind of information.
