Avertisements

I and many others got this email today:

Thomas

I was on your mredmercer website and I came up with a couple of ideas that I really wanted to share with you. The ideas are all posted on my website so if you Google my name "Darwin Leakner" you'll see my site appear in the search results as #1.

Also, in the near future, I plan on setting up a domain and website related focus group in the Cody area. Once you've been on my site, I'd like to discuss this idea with you as well. If possible, lets touch base next week via phone. You can contact me at any time.

And for reference purposes I attached my resume and credentials if you'd like to know a little bit more about my background.

Regards,
Darwin Leakner

This person is related to or is the same Patty Similian, aka Star Similian, aka Andrea Deluca who is or has done time for serious fraudulent activity on the Internet. Her latest scam was posing as an attorney

This person is a class AA scammer and con artist. I know, I was conned out of $1500 as she posed as an attorney to help me with an Internet case I was involved in. I am not stupid nor naive. I am very sophisticated to scams, own Veretekk and have been on the Internet since it began back in the very early 1990s.

Be very WARNED about this person.

If you have received an email from this person contact the sheriff's department in Portola Valley and make a report.

Thanks Thomas,

I just joined this forum after receiving the same e-mail this morning for a Site I set up a couple of days ago. I Googled him, and here's where I ended up:-) In mine, he/she claimed to be from a neighboring town(Durham NC). I'm just wondering if the town changes in each e-mail to sound as if they're local?

Thanks again. Looking forward to being as active as time allows in the forums.

I also received this email this morning, it has an attachment that I did not open, I would recommend reporting any scam emails to the email hosting site. I did have a local city in the email which is why even though it screamed scan at me a goggled it for more info, thanks for posting the heads up!!

According to Outlook . com, these are some recommendations:
Here’s how to report abuse, phishing, and junk email sent to or coming from Outlook mail accounts. These steps also work for hotmail . com, msn . com, and live . com email accounts.
To report abuse

Here's how:

If you're being threatened, please call your local law enforcement.

To report harassment, impersonation, child exploitation, child pornography, etc, received from a Outlook account, send a complaint to abuse @ Outlook . com with all the pertaining information.

To report abuse received from a non-Outlook account, contact abuse @ xxxxxx . xxx , where xxxxxx . xxx is the part of the sender's email address after the "@" symbol. For example, if the abusive email came from someone @ mymailmessages . com, report it to mailto:[email protected] . You can also go to abuse . net to identify the correct abuse reporting address.

You can report it all you like but they won't do anything. With the amount of spam out there it's impossible for a provider to keep on top of it all. The best thing is to learn how to set your email filters.
