Yes, there's two ways to make money with freebie sites.

1) People pay you to complete trial offers. (These can range from 25$/offer, all the way up to 80$/offer)

2) You pay others to complete offers for you. Once you acquire the requisite number of offers, you receive a prize. This can be a Paypal deposit, a laptop, anything.

I've tried doing this, and unless you have been involved in FLR for a long time, method #2 is off-limits to you. And the problem with method #1 is that you'll have all types of people calling you because of the offers you've completed. That, and you have to cancel all of them once you've completed them.

People there say you don't have to cancel these offers, but it's not exactly financially feasible to be signing up for numerous subscriptions. The goal is to make money, not spend it. So, unless you're willing to go through some hardship initially, I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, that all sounds like one huge pain in the butt, doesn't it? Thanks for that info (not that I was going to try it but it's nice to know).

I agree with this 110%. People don't understand that completing trial offers and paying people to do them for you is really short term financial gain. I would honestly only recommend this to people looking to make extra money for things like gas and groceries. This is not a business or work at home job of any kind.

I agree 100%, I tried this approach to the Free Lunch Room. This is represented as a way to earn income. The only thing I ask them was the same; "How can you make money when you are spending on every offer?" What a load of bull to convince people of this being a way to work at home. Too much crap to go thru. Who wants to spend $20 to make $30. Take my advice RUN RUN RUN!

Wow, i think this is the first time i have heard a string of bad things about freebie sites. I usually hear people say that it is a good way to get started making part time cash.
I was going to try this as a backup. I thought as long as you get paid more than what you spend on the trial offers you would be good? I know you have to be very detailed and know when to cancel your trials before you get charged the membership fees.
Is there something i am missing cause i alot of people here in this forum all rave about freebie sites.

I had thought about trying this, but after reading your comments, have decided against it. Thanks for the information once again!

I am a Hubber (member of HubPages) and can atest to the fact that you do make money. You have to sign up for AdSense and Kontera, that's how you make revenue from your hubs (articles). You can also add Amazon and eBay capsules. There are some Hubbers who've managed over a million pageviews - I'm not one of them. I've made around $10/month so far just off of AdSense, but I only have 28 hubs published. The more you have, the more money you make. Kontera only came on board in July, so there aren't a lot of earnings from it yet. I also have an Amazon account, but it's done squat.

The HubPages interface is a lot of fun, I really enjoy making hubs. You can add pics and videos, and the community is great. HP gets some great traffic, my profile page has a Google page rank of 4. Another nice thing is that you can write about anything you want....well, except the normal taboo subjects.

Now, I am talking about HubPages itself, not the content of the Hubber's article that Ladybug linked to.

If anybody wants to ask me anything about HP, please do.

I've checked into this type of thing before too and think that it is not worth all the trouble...at least not for me. A big hassle.
