I received an email advert today that started with the following disclaimer:

"This is not SPAM. You are receiving this mailing from XXXXXXX because you, someone you know or someone you don't know, subscribed you to our mailing list. This Newsletter is 100% Opt In Only!"

Now, how can it be 100% opt in if someone I don't know can subscribe me?

lol ... i also receive such emails . I have made a new mail account and use it very often for commenting or registering on other websites for business purpose. But still i receive few spam emails every week. Dont know from where these spammers get our email id's

I'm amazed that this stuff actually works on some people.
