It's new, it's controversial and it's kickin tail at twitter.

What's everyone think. Get 10000s of followers free without even giving our email addy?

It's the buzz at twitter and I tried it with some pretty good success, so what's everyone else think?

It's funny that more people don't realize Tweeter Getter isn't spammy or evil at all... as long as it's promoted correctly and respectfully (like anything else).

I've added over 1000 new followers to my Twitter followers list (have 8000+ total).

People join everyone's followers list all the time ... we can't control their motives. That's the nature of Twitter. It's what we do after they join (engage in discussions, add value, help, etc) that matters. That's where Twitter is utilized... who cares how someone gets on your list if they voluntarily want to be on it. Tweeter Getter is a way to follow more people and have more followers within the marketing audience, it's perfect.

But you have to promote it respectfully, I've written about how I've done that and where I'm doing it if you're thinking about promoting Tweeter Getter.

Build that Twitter list however you can... just give value to people and engage in conversations and you'll do great!

I totally agree. I have tripled my follower list in just over 24 hours. I think this is a great tool. Some of the "purists" don't like it, and particularly those who have spent a ton of effort building their follower list and now see others building theirs effortlessly much larger and quicker.

As far as the followers you get goes, you are right. It is all up to you how you build your relationships after you acquire a huge list of followers.

Adding value to the twits you post and not just selling your wares will build trust so when you do occasionally have something to share you benefit from your followers will be interested in taking a look at it.

Pretty much the same as having a blog or website. If you don't provide valuable information your visitors won't stick around long or come back often either.

Does it just work on the chain mail principle? (like the Oprah 6$ crap that gets posted here daily) where you add your name to a list and then others add you etc. etc. ?

No, first it's free, so no $6 crap.

Second, you can plug this free tool into your existing friends, contacts, email lists, etc etc etc.

But the fact is just one tweet and your off to the races LOL

I've more than tripled my followers at twitter in two days and now it's going faster and faster.

I check once in awhile while I'm online and before I can even leave twitter I may have another one or two.

I can't say anything bad about tweeter getter and frankly I am pretty picky about what I get involved in.

My first post here but I've been doing IM and various web ventures for years. I'm just getting started using twitter as a marketing tool and I have a different, yet similar site I use. The issue I see with twitter getter is that it's a total shotgun approach. Unless I'm missing something, you are going to be following people that may or (more than likely) may not be interested in what you're trying to sell or market.

Well I have to disagree,

If you share your tweeter getter ID with others in your niches and they share it with the same then you are building relationships with like minded people.

Now, if you are into internet marketing or any type of home based business opportunity then the more the merrier since over 75% of the population is interested in making money from home.

It's been just over a month since I started using it and I have over 400 followers already with very little effort.

My blogs and squidoo lenses are automatically pinged to twitter with any updates I make so I really don't even need to tweet at all if I don't want to.

Plus when I do have something really hot come down the pipe which is time sensitive I share it at twitter asap.
If I continue to share valuable content my followers will be more apt to check out future twits.

I might spend 10 minutes a day on twitter and have already have some positive results from it so It's worth it for me.

P.S. If you have a blog or website I'd advise putting your tweeter getter url on it for your readers to join under you as you will be getting exposed to their followers too.
