Hi All:

I just learned something today from a paid program that I am in called the Ultimate Affiliate Strategy.

As much as I would like to share a link with you, I can't because it is part of a membership site and the document is huge so I couldn't post it here anyway.

But what I am going to do is this.

I am going to keep you posted on my progress with the strategy. After I get my site all set up I'll even give you the URL. No, it's not Internet marketing so there won't be anything there for you to buy, but you'll get to see how this works.

I will also post my income after my first full month. I'll report how many hours I had to spend on doing this.

Hopefully, you will then be able to decide for yourself if this is something you want to try. If it is, you'll have to PM me for the details. I won't post any links here, even though it wouldn't be an affiliate link and ironically, I wouldn't get anything from it even if you did sign up.

Anyway, that's about it for now.

I'll keep you all posted as I go along.

It's not a big secret. It's just that it was invite only to warriors so I think some people aren't sure whether they are supposed to tell or not. I doubt it matters, but I don't really know either.

Heck up until recently you were not supposed to even post the URL to the warrior forum. For years it was not supposed to be open to the public. But that didn't stop anyone.

Update - Jan 30, 2007

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted anything for a week.

Okay, here is what I have been doing. I've been very busy getting the site ready for launch.

1. I finished all the content for the site itself, including products page and articles, for now anyway. There are about 11 articles on the site.

2. I wrote 10 articles to submit to Ezine Articles. I am submitting 1 per day over the next 10 days. I want to do this slowly so as not to take any chance on increasing traffic too quickly and getting slammed by Google.

3. I have been hanging out in forums for this niche, just answering posts and getting the link seen. I have 13 opt ins already and the site isn't even live yet.

4. I have 10 weeks already completed for my 52 week informational series. This will last me until April. This way I can maybe do 1 or 2 more each week and still keep well ahead of schedule. Once the 52 week series is done, I never have to worry about it again. This way if I have something special to send my list I just do a broadcast.

5. I am going to open up another Adwords account because the one I have now is pretty much in Google's dog house. I want a clean start. The page is indexed by them with their XML sitemap, so I am Google friendly. This should give me low CPCs for my niche.

I'm pretty much all ready to go live on Feb 1. Honestly, I am scared stiff that this is going to just blow up in my face. There are so many variables to this, not the least of which is that this is a niche that I'm not as comfortable with as I am with Internet Marketing. That I can do in my sleep. This, not so much. I keep thinking that I am forgetting something, even though I have gone through the checklist, not only from the Ultimate Affiliate Strategy, but also from "The Plan" which I have also taken some tips from.

After the site goes live, I will be reporting on traffic and sales, if any.

Like I said, this may totally bomb out on me, at least early on.

Time will tell.

I'm curious about this too. I'm not sure what the Ultimate Affiliate Strategy actually is, but it sounds like something good!

Everything Steve has said so far in this thread has made a lot of sense and sounds like it follows a lot of advice in "The Plan". Then I found an interesting site in my travels - owned by guess who! If it is the one he's talking about (and I don't want to blow any whistles here) then it's a great site!

I liked it a lot

He's even gone to the niche that I have been researching - I had to smile when I saw some of the affiliate links he has there - a lot of the same one's I'd come across. I'm guessing there's a lot more to it than meets the eye, so I'd love to know how Steve is getting on too

Update - February 5, 2007

Sorry I haven't updated in a while.

The site officially launched February 1. Currently, I have 16 people in my autoresponder series, which averages to about 3 per day. I should have close to 100 by the end up the month.

I have made 1 sale so far for $22 and change.

Not bad considering that I haven't spent one DIME on advertising and only use article submission and forum participation to promote the site.

I have 4 articles live with Ezine Articles, getting about 6 views per day.

I have 3 pending articles.

I will be submitting 1 article per day this year. I should have over 300 by the end of the year.

I don't expect this to blossom over night. I expect that it will take 6 months to a year before this really takes off and I get a following. It is not an easy niche. Honestly, it isn't too much easier than IM but it is something I have believed in for years.

I'll keep you posted from time to time on how it's going.

How do you know when google have your site indexed?

I know googles robots are hovering my depression site since I started submitting to directories, how do you know when its indexed?

Just go to Google and type in your URL in the search box.

If it shows up, it's indexed.

Update - Jan 23, 2007

Today I did the following:

1. Wrote 1 article to place on web site.

2. Wrote 1 article to submit to Ezine Articles.

3. Wrote 2 more letters for my autoresponder series. Now up to week 6 of my 52 week series.

Today, Google finally indexed my site. I will shortly be opening a new Adwords account (yes, I'll need to do that to make this work) and starting on Feb 1, I will launch my PPC campaign for just 1 of the products on my products page and see how it does for a week.
