Update - Feb 21

Wow, I just checked my Aweber account and noticed that I had 5 leads added to my auto responder series for this niche yesterday.

I am starting to notice that with all the articles I now have out there, the increase in views, traffic and signups is now starting to increase exponentially.

I can only imagine what it will be like with 300 articles out there by the end of the year.

I expect 2008 to be my year for this niche.

We'll see.

Update - February 27

Well, things are starting to pick up nicely.

Some stats.

Have gotten 11 more subscribers in the last week. Now up to 43 for the month of February. At this pace, I'll be over 400 by year end.

Am I to 3 sales for the month totalling over $60. Mind you, this is with no other promotion other than just writing and submitting articles.

Am now up to 28 articles at Ezine Articles.

The past week, averaging over 50 visitors per day to the site. Yesterday, had a high of 82.

Not too bad considering I spend all of 30 minutes per day on this whole business.

We'll see what March brings.

Steven, I have a question if you don't mind.

When you submit an article to Ezine Articles, do you post exactly the same article onto your niche site's articles page?

The reason I ask is I read somewhere that it's recommended that there's at least 20% difference in the content of an article you put up on your site to the same article you submit to an ezine.

So far I've submitted two of my own articles from my site to Ezine but changed them. It's time consuming just doing it once. What if I wanted to submit one to a dozen article submission sites?

The articles I submit to Ezine Articles are completely unique. I don't put the same articles up on my site at all.

I'm not saying you have to do this. It's just what I do.

Thanks for that.

It makes sense to do it that way to avoid the plagiarism aspect of posting - even though ironically I'd be copying my own article!

I just have a question for you too Steven. When you submit your articles, do you submit to more than one article submission site, or just to ezine artilces?

You can submit your article to different article directories without changing it. I have been doing it for years and it has worked very well.

Aha  Now it's making perfect sense. Thanks guys.

I'd better get my thinking cap on, refill my inkwell, put a turbo-nib on my quill and get to work writing! 8)

PS: Ok, quills didn't have nibs as such, but I'm old enough to remember dipping a nibbed pen into an inkwell recessed into my school desk as a child in the '60s...

I would have assumed it would be more beneficial to submit the same article to a few article submission sites and have more backlinks back to your site that way.

Spot on Shezza. The trick is to slightly change each article though.
Apparently the search engines frown on muliple listings of articles,
so changing some text in the body eliminates this.

Also, giving each article a different name helps track which articles are most read.

Type your article name into Google, in quotes, to see if it is a popular
article name. If the results are under 1K, you are on a winner.

Hope this helps
