Internet addiction can become a serious problem for many people. Here is a sure test to see if you are an internet addict.

In the spirit of Jeff Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck". You know...

If you've ever mowed your yard and found a car....you might be a redneck!

Well our internet addiction test will use the same premise only with an internet twist. So without further ado, let's take the test.

The Internet Addiction Test

If you know more about the internet than your children:
You might be an internet addict.

If you've ever bought your computer a christmas present: (you know a new monitor, ram, etc.)
You might just be an internet addict.

If you have a "pet name" for your computer:
You might be an internet addict.

If your spouse is jealous of your computer:
You might be an internet addict.

If you can never finish a hot cup of coffee while online.
You might be an internet addict.

If you have more online friends than "real" friends.
You might be an internet addict.

If you go to forums to meet women (or men remember this is Jeff Foxworthy inspired )
You might be an internet addict.

If you've ever conducted a keyword search before writing a forum post. (guilty)
You might just be an internet addict.

If you've ever done a keyword density test on your forum post.
You might just be an internet addict.

If you've ever "wet" yourself online.
You might just be an internet addict.

If you think about the internet more than sex.
You might be an internet addict.

If you've ever taken a date to your website.
You might just be an internet addict.

If you can't remember how to write a check.
You might be an internet addict.

If you can type faster than you can talk.
You might be an internet addict.

If you've ever introduced yourself in public by your "screen name". (guilty)
You might be an internet addict. (hello...I'm Zacman...I mean I'm huh.... )

And last but not least:
If you've ever called 911 when your computer crashed.
You are definitely an internet addict!

This is not an exhaustive test but frankly just a beginning. I welcome all of you to join in with your internet addict test questions.

I guess I'm guilty of a few plus.

If you get yelled at because you spent more time on the internet
than you did doin' those all important "Honey do's" .....................you might be..................Guilty

If you get your laptop fired up before you make your coffee
so it'll be all ready to go when you get there..............................you might be..................Very Guilty

If it upsets you a little that others have logged into emails and other sites NOT using your login causing
you to remember and enter your logins and passwords @ 4am.........you might be..................Guilty

If you spend more than 15 or 20minutes trying to add more reasons why ..............................Guilty

OR If you experience neck, finger, arm and toe cramps simutaniously, headaches, blurred vision, hunger or occasionally cuss out your laptop because you know it can hear you.(guilty) You may have indications of a more serious nature and need to seek immediate medical attention. Even though the use of the Internet has been throughly tested on Geeks, Gurus, lab rats and aliens from another planet where only minor symptoms occured, you should stop using the Internet Immediately before a more serious, incurable condition develops. Please consult a physician or hang up your internet connection and call 911 for immediate assistance.......before its to late!...lol

I've got to edit my bookmarks too, but when will I find the time?

As far as email, I turn my speakers up loud so I here the ding when they hit. LOL (notification of payment received usually)

OH, no, don't let your family members on skype, you'll go crazy man.

I have a hundred or so of the "you might be an internet addict" test questions on file.

The problem is, I've been online so much I can't find them.

Believe me, if I don't, I'll come up with some more.

This is true for me. I can't eat or drink if I'm not yet finish with my work. But lately I changed my routine, I make sure to take a meal first before working.
