About me

My name is Leisa Watkins and I have over twenty-five years of self-employment experience. In fact, I owned my own business at age 16. She I know the ins and outs of developing a home-based business and is knowledgeable about the difficult act of balancing the life of a busy mom with that of a business owner.

I reside in a Salt Lake City suburb with my husband and three children. When I am not creating, or running a business, I keeps busy educating my children at home, or volunteering in the community. I has been awarded with several awards for her volunteer efforts including the Salute to Excellence Award, and the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

I have always been an avid reader and spends most of her valuable reading time reading business related, self-improvement, and education related books.

Kindred Kids

My primary business focus has past seven years has been that of a mixed media artist. I am the owner of Kindred Kids, a company that specializes in unique products for vintage style scrapbooks, stamping arts, and book arts.

I am an artist and mixed media instructor who teaches classes in book making, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, and more. I began my artistic career over thirteen years ago, when she began designing scrapbook packages, designing and selling her creations in boutiques, and teaching tole-painting, floral arranging, and other art forms. Several years ago I began focusing most of my attention on paper arts and mixed media. Mixed media allows me to use all of the things I learned in my other artistic endeavors and combine them in fun and interesting ways.

As much as I love to spend time in the studio creating I am more passionate about teaching. I have taught classes throughout the United States in various mediums for over ten years. I receive great satisfaction from helping others create and begin to recognize within themselves some of the creativity I believes everyone possesses. I am known for my ability to teach many mediums in a fun, exciting, and easy to understand way.

BookWise

Myself, and my husband Craig, were part of the BookWise pre-launch team. In fact, our application was turned in the first day applications were accepted. When I heard that Richard Paul Evans was launching a new company I said, "If Richard Paul Evans is the founder, I'm in. But I sure hope it involves books." It's been the best decision we've ever made.

BookWise is a life mission. I am passionate about BookWise. Our goal is to help as many people as they can achieve financial prosperity while also enriching their lives.

We are members of the BookWise President's Club, a club is designed to honor those BookWise associates who have taken on a leadership role in their BookWise business. Members achieve this rank by helping those by helping their personally enrolled associates bring in new associates. In other words it honors those who are serious about helping others build a strong business.

The President’s 100 Club is for those first 100 associates world wide who have achieved President’s Club status and therefore have helped launch the company in a significant way. In June 2007 we were honored to have been among the first fifty members of the BookWise President’s 100 Club.

My husband and I founded the Leaders & Readers Organization one of the premier leadership teams in BookWise. We are known for their support system, training, the tools they provide, and our team website.

My Goals

Goals

Where does one start? I have so many.

Be a good wife and mother and raise children who love life is one of my highest priorities.

I also have a goal to assist as many people as I can achieve not only financial prosperity, but enhance their life through BookWise.

Having gone through quite a bit of trauma in my life time I have developed a very strong desire to use my artistic talents and teaching ability to assist people in recovering from trauma. I am particulary interested in helping women who have been raped.

Travel is something I plan on doing a lot. I long to take my kids on trips around the world, and dine in the finest restaurants, and mom and pop diners world wide.
