About me

I grew up in Long Beach California. I used to play competitive tennis in California and had the opportunity to meet players on the junior circuit like Tracy Austin, Lori McNeal, Zina Garrison, and John McEnroe. John used to come to the tennis club I was a member of and play tennis with another top junior in men's 18 years and under named Robert Van'tHof. Robert was ranked higher than John at that time. This was before John went to play for Stanford and Robert went to play for USC.

I attended college at U.C Berkeley. I had decidedd to give up tennis at this time which only angered my father. He wanted me to go pro, but he was the cause of me quitting. Have you ever met one of those parents that acts like he is your tennis coach and is very strict with you about your sport? That was my dad. He used to pace back and forth outside of the court. If I made a mistake, he would get very angry at me. I hated him coming to my tennis matches. Anyway, when I got to Cal, I quit playing during my first or second quarter in school. Because my father decided he would not support me, I had to find a way to support myself through college. I did. I received a bachelor of science degree in math.

I am a develop business applications using .net and java. I used to love programming but the industry has changed so much. Also, I have had way too many bad managers and directors. This has caused me to look for a way in which I could start a business of my own. I have been working for other people for almost 20 years and it just was not working. I made very good money and had a pretty successful career in the technical industry but I have grown tired of it.

My Businesses

I have ventured into real estate and I really like it. I currently own 6 properties. I own 5 single family homes and one triplex. I hope to own more. I would also like to get involved in apartment complexes and storage facilities one day soon.

One of the other things I want to add into my real estate investment company is a property managment company divison. The reason is it has been very hard trying to find a property management company to manage two of my properties; one being the triplex and the other is a single family home. I would like to have a division within my real estate investment company that manages my properties and anyone else's for that matter. I know what I expect in regards to managing a property. One thing is to not let a home or an apartment sit for long periods of time. This not only hurts the owner of the property, but it also hurts the property managament company. A property managament company, such as the ones here in Montgomery Alabama get 10% of the rent. If there is little to no rent, this also decreases their income. I am working on developing my skills in managing my real estate investment business.

I also started a business with another company online back in August of 2007. I really enjoy this too. What we do is teach people how to successfully market online. Although, not a significant amount, I have started earning money with it. Due to the trainings, I have had way over 11,000 visit my website and I have close to 70 people in my group. I am working this business maybe 2 to 3 hours a day and a little more on Saturday.

I decided to join this company because of the one-on-one mentoring, support, and live trainings. I even have the home phone numbers of each of the founders of the company and I call them on a regular basis. I have not had this ability with any of the other companies I was a member of. I attribute my success in my internet marketing company to the mentoring and support I get from my upline and the founders of the company.

My Goals

My goal is to have a successful real estate investment company. My real estate investment company will be involved in not only buying residential and commercial properties, but will also have a division that manages my properties and othe people's properties too.

I am also looking at getting more involved in investing in tax lien certificates. I currently have access to a website that will allow me to purchase tax lien certificates from any state. I also have software that will help me to manage my properties, and I have tons of notebooks that train you how to invest in tax lien certificates.

In addition to my real estate investment company, I want to have a very successful internet marketing company. One goal that stems from this is to be able to travel and hold seminars where I teach people how to start their own home-based business. I know now, I am not capable of getting on stage and speaking, but at some point I know that I will be able to. This will be my way of getting back.
